3048 A Pair of French Magnum Carafes

Click on the images to see more detail

This is a pair of magnum carafes made in Northern France - probably in Normandy. They are in good bright condition and each holds a magnum comfortably.  You may notice that one carafe is slightly taller than the other which is to be expected form hand-blown vessels like this.  However, this is unlikely to be noticed on a dining table.

One carafe has a flaw where an air bubble was caught in the glass when being blown.  It is not unsightly and the carafe is still very fit for purpose.
