4038 A Small Mahogany Coaster
Small 18th century coasters are almost more seldom seen than magnums. Although this is a small coaster, it will nevertheless hold some full-bottle size decanters being 3.8", 9.7 cm. internal diameter.
The coaster has an ogee moulded elevation and a simple double ring-turning to the middle of the base; othewise it is quite plain.
The coaster is in excellent condition, without any cracks or repairs, and it has a good patination with old baize underneath.
