4068 A Mahogany Magnum Coaster

Click on the images to see more detail

This is a good example of a mahogany coaster of excellent colour and patination.  The sides are of ogee outline, and the base has the original baize lining.  It is possible that it originally had a very narrow brass line inlay on the top moulding, but no trace of it remains.

With an internal diameter of 5.25" it is sufficiently wide to take every magnum decanter we currently have in stock.

Date: c.1770

Dimensions: 5.25, 13.4 cm. internal diameter, 6", 15.3 cm. overall diameter

Sold (we would welcome news of similar items for sale)
