4117 A Pair of Hobnail-Cut Decanters

Click on the images to see more detail

This pair of decanters are very high quality and are in fine condition; indeed it would be impossible to buy a pair of new decanters of this quality for anything approaching the price of these.

They are of broad 'Indian club' form deeply cut with hobnail cutting and with star-cut bases.  There is a central band of oblung 'printies', while the necks are cut with hexagonal hollow facets.  The stoppers are cut to match.

Date: c.1890

Dimensions: 12.5", 31.8 cm. high incl. stopper
