5008 A Late 19th Century Magnum Decanter

This is a late 19th century Magnum decanter.  It has an ovoid body below a tall narrow neck and tricorn everted rim.  It stands on a star-cut foot.  The body has a broad band of decorative cutting comprising lozenge panels of trellis and 'blazes', while the neck is simply panel-cut.  The replacement stopper is cut to match, and is so well made, it would be almost impossible to detect as a replacement.

This is a practical and good quality magnum at an affordable price.  It is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips.
