5034 A Plain Taper Decanter

Click on the images to see more detail

We are often asked for plain decanters - and they don't come much plainer than this!  Plain and simple does not necessarily equate to dull and poor quality - indeed quite the opposite can apply.   This is a neat example of a George III decanter which holds a full bottle quite easily.   It pours well without gurgling, and it has a bevelled inverted pear-shaped stopper which if not original (and it may be) is contemporary.

Plain Georgian decnaters are becoming increasingly difficult to find, but this is a good example and very 'fit for purpose' and at a very realistic price.
