5064 A Good 'Prussian' Decanter with Mushrooom Stopper

Click on the images to see more detail

This is a good, straightforward example of a 'Prussian' decanter with three neck rings, panel-, or slice-cut shoulders and a fluted base.  The body has a plain centre section, and the stopper is star-cut.

Decanters like this are not difficult to find (although it is becoming less easy) so that if you want a pair. it should not be hard to find one that will pass for the pair to this on a dining table.

'Prussian' decanters pour well, do not gurgle when being used and display wine very well indeed, the cutting aiding that by refracting light through the wine for maximun benefit.
