5262 A Pair of Bristol Blue Broad Indian Club Decanters

Click on the images to see more detail

This is a delightful pair of 'Bristol Blue' decanters dating from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries.  The basic shape is that of an 'indian club' but these are broader than most and therefore appear to 'sit well'.

Each decanter has three neck rings and a slightly everted lip, otherwise quite plain.  They are fitted with inverted pear-shaped and bevelled stoppers (one of which is a good replacement).

They hold a full bottle each and are fully fit fot purpose.

Date: c.1800
