6008 A Rare Step-Cut Georgian Green Decanter

Click on the images to see more detail

This is a very rare decanter, being step-cut about its entire height.  It is of 'Prussian' shape and has a star-cut mushroom stopper.  It is in excellent condition with only one very minor nibble which is difficult to see.

This is one of those occasions where a single image tells more than a thousand words and the image here shows what the decanter is.  It holds a full bottle and is very elegant and fit for purpose - if you are decanting white wine!

We show other green rarities in the lower image.

Date: c.1820

Dimensions: 9.9", 25.2 cm. high incl. stopper
