6023 A Folding Bow Corkscrew

Click on the images to see more detail

This is a very practical corkscrew of a pattern, known by collectors as a 'folding bow'.  It is larger than many being over 3" long when folded (5.5", 14 cm. opened).  The corkscrew is in excellent condition with just a minimal amount of old rust, which barely shows.

The whole piece is wrought from steel and the worm is reeded and complete.  A practical aspect of this model is that it can be carried safely in a pocket when folded, as the tip of the worm does not project
