6042 A Straight-Pull Corkscrew with Brush

Click on the images to see more detail

This is a good, practical no-nonsense corkscrew.  It has a cocuswood handle with a brush to clean the top of the bottle and the helix ( the business end) is cyphered - a sophisticated attention to detail which aids penetration and extraction.

The corkscrew is in excellent overall condition with one 'nick' to the handle and it is solid and firm - no play between the handle and the worm.

While no great work of art nor a valuable antique, this is, nevertheless a fine practical antique which is a capable of doing its job as it was when it was made and which has remained in excellent overall condition.
