Click on the images to see more detail

This highly unusual decanter has a broad base, so can be called a ship's decanter, but these are seldom coloured.  This one is 'cased' in red glss, cut to clear, so that with red wine inside, it will appear red all over, except above the wine where the neck. will show clear.

The neck is well cut with seven rows of circular 'printies' below a 4-lipped rim  It has a fine star-cut base and a hollow 'balloon' star-cut stopper.
