6545 A Very Fine Pair of Georgian Broad Taper Decanters
This is a very elegant pair of Georgian decanters. With their flat neck rings, they are probably among the earliest with three neck rings and the inability by the glassmaker to make seemless joints to neck rings may be evidence of this novel, but very practical idea.
They are of broad taper form and have bevelled inverted pear-shaped stoppers. They are utterly devoid of any cut or engraved decoration, they each hold a full bottle with ease and are very fit for purpose, being in excellent unrestored condition.
Dimensions: 11.1", 28.2 cm. high incl. stoppers
