9624 A Green Flask Jug with Clear Handle and Stopper

Click on the images to see more detail

This is a green glass wine jug (I don't think red wine looks good in a green jug - so I cannot call it a claret jug). It has a lightly writhen body and tricorn lip with a clear glass ball stopper. It has a plain loop handle.

This is a decorative jug from which it would be fine to serve white wine.

It does have a slightly uneven base causing it to wobble if pushed - hence its low price.

Date: c.1870

Price: UK customers £25, US customers $35, Euro customers €30, Australian customers $45
