9877 An Oblong Wine Label with Reeded Edge for SAUTERNE
This is a pretty wine label of a type which remained popular for several decades either side of 1800, being an oblong with a reeded border. While Sauterne is not a great rarity, neither is it a common name by any means.
It was made by William Knight in 1827 and is completely and clearly marked on the reverse. There is no damage or repair and it is in fine condition.
