This is a really good late eighteenth century decanter that holds a full bottle of wine. It is devoid of any decoration - except that the disc stopper has a scalloped edge. The rim is very slightly everted, which aids pouring and the decanter is very fit for purpose.
English c.1785, 11.5", 29.2 cm high incl. stopper
