An engraved Georgian taper decanter
This is a pretty decanter of the late 18th century of a shape known as a 'taper'. The body is wheel engraved with ribbon-tied swags of husks and with pendant stars also suspended. The stopper is a scalloped disk.
THis is a light-weight practical decanetr that will hold a full bottle. The glass may be soda-glass, which would imply continental manufacture, but it is to an British design.
Dimensions: 10.6", 27 cm. high incl. stopper
