This is a good mid-19th century magnum decanter of standard shaft-and-globe form. The body has two bands of oval printies (shallow oval depressions), below a panel cut neck with an everted lip. The base is star cut and the hollow baloon-shape stopper is cut to match the body.
This is a true magnum that will hold two 75 cl. bottles with ease and room to spare for the wine to breathe. It is in excellent condition - bright and clear, with no chips or cracks, so ready for the dining table or sideboard.
