This an attractive wine label of relatively small size for a cast label. It is formed as a garland of fruiting vine surmounted by a leopard's head and with a stylised shell beneath the legend. The centre of the label is formed as an inverted pelta shield with a polished surface pierced with the legend HOCK.
The makers, Charles Rawlings & William Summers were specialist wine label makers but on this occasion, the legend cuts right through the hallmarks rendering them illegible, although the makers' mark is perfectly clear.
The label is in good condition without any damage or repair.
