This is a fine and exciting set of four George III decanters. They are of 'Indian club' shape with facet-cut necks and a band of flutes around the base. The body of each decanter is engraved with pretty oval paterae, part polished, part matt, suspended from ribbon bows and suspending swags of 'tulips' and fine ovals. The stoppers are discs, cut diagonally to appear facetted. The pontils are ground and polished.
These decanters are fine quality and hold a full bottle each, so making them eminently practical as well as being very attractive to look at. They are in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips or apparent restorations.
